You walked the path of the enemy To see if you could take them down You never made it back onto my side Now you’re just another face in the crowd I wish my story was a fabrication And you were making me proud But you say the blame is all on me I guess that I’ll never see Why on earth I would ever try to let me down -CHORUS: You walked the path of the enemy To see if you could take them down You never made it back onto my side Now you’re just another face in the crowd I wish my story was a fabrication And you were making me proud But you say the blame is all on me I guess that I’ll never see Why on earth I would ever try to let me down- You’re confidently careless With the lives that are on the line But let me tell you ill be dead and gone Before you ever get your hands on mine So don’t you bother with your politesse When you’re over talking next to me ‘Cause when you’re spinning those lies There burns a fire in my eyes It’ll cut you down to size and burn you to the third degree -CHORUS- You’ve got a heart that was made to look like gold But that trick only works on fools Yeah you must have nodded off in the back of the class When they were teaching those golden rules And it’s your life yeah I guess your right You can live it any way that you please But when the shit hits the fan tomorrow Don’t come looking for me When you’re crawling on your hands and your knees

Both Feet In 05:32
There was a time I’d shoot myself in the foot, But now it’s understood. You gave me seven days, But now we’ve come to eight, and I can’t seem to shake these wicked ways. The rain-soaked road sucks me in just like your eyes, Tom and James, they sing me lies and I don’t want to stop, I just want to drive all night, but my lead eyelids sure put up a fight. CHORUS: I’m going down feet-first, And I haven’t been looking out for you even though I knew that we were all cursed. What can I say? I’ve lost touch with my whole mind, but I’m feeling fine because the Reaper comes today. I had no plan. I didn’t know what to do when they came for me, so I turned and ran. And you left me here. You left me all alone to comprehend the meaning behind all my fears. – I’m feelin’ like I’ve got a gun to my head, And I know I’m better off dead. Because, then I’d win….but I’m not the only head you’re in. So I turn up the volume to drown the pain, And I’m gone so I follow you down the drain. CHORUS: I’m going down feet-first, And I haven’t been looking out for you even though I knew that we were all cursed. What can I say? I’ve lost touch with my whole mind, but I’m feeling fine because the Reaper comes today. And you left me here. You left me all alone to comprehend the meaning behind all my fears. I had no plan. I didn’t know what to do when they came for me, so I turned and ran. So far away. I had to save my legs because I knew I had both feet in the grave. What can I say? Both feet in the grave.

For the first time in a hundred years the rain had ceased to fall I have no idea at all if this is true or just something I’ve been told But whether the weather was or wasn’t any wetter, I was certain right then it couldn’t get much better I started walking my way down town with no fear of the cold The sun shown out so bright that day I head towards the waterway And the big old crowd was shouting right out loud This is what the had to say -CHORUS Stop I know that the weather may be pretty But you can swim in the river if you’re south of the city And the bridge is almost out You better check it out If you ever want to get down town- Well at two decades old with nothing to lose I rolled up my sleeves and kicked off my shoes Jumped in the river and swam for the opposite shore And the current was strong the river was wide But I’d never sleep knowing I never tried I could not live my life in fear of what may be in store As I reached the banks and began to dry I laughed to myself with a peace of mind As I caught glimpse of the warning sign with all those things I’ve heard before -CHORUS- All too often we are likely to assume All the things we read and hear have to be true In the end the only truth lies with you Which side of the river will you be on When the crowd comes after you

Coming Home 06:22
If you can write the rhythm, I can write the rhyme All that we’ve got to do is find the time But the time is hard to find and when we do its short and sweet So we’ll have to write this music as we’re walking down the street - CHORUS: and I’m coming home I’m coming home to you - I’ve cause my share of tears I’ve felt my share of pain But I keep driving on through the driving rain I’ve seen the tallest mountains shadowed by the clouds I’ve seen the tallest trees fall down when lightning strikes the ground -CHORUS: and I’m coming home Yeah I’m coming home I’m coming Yeah I’m coming home to you - I’ve cause my share of tears I’ve felt my share of pain But I keep driving on through the driving rain I’ve said so many things better left unsaid I’ve heard that many things are better left for dead

Glass pop bottles and two dollar bills Faded pictures lying on the window sill Old love letters and a ticket stub that he should throw away But he’s got one too many reasons why everything should stay La – da – da – da One too many days with his head in the clouds One too many songs sung for the same old crowd But he sings true and he sings loud Eyes set on the stars feet firmly on the ground - CHORUS: For he has walked for miles Through the sun and pouring rain And when it feels to him like the pavements wearing thin And every road he walks down looks the same He just sings… - La – da – da An educated American And a good Samaritan Jack of several trades but as master he claims none His simple life don’t ask for much Because he’s got a lovely lover and he loves her touch Brick by brick he builds their castle in the sun - CHORUS: For he has walked for miles Through the sun and pouring rain And when it feels to him like the pavements wearing thin And every road he walks down looks the same He just sings…

We have all been who we are since the days that we were born We haven’t ever asked for much but lately we’ve been wanting more All we’re asking is for a little change But let the faces and the music stay the same - CHORUS: We ain’t got much money in our pockets But we’ve got a lot to give And this life ain’t always easy But it’s the only way to live - And the people sing… Woah, Woah-oh-oh, Woah-oh-oh-oooh We have all been who we are since the days that we were born We haven’t ever asked for much but lately we’ve been wanting more All we’re asking is for a little change But let the people and the music stay the same - CHORUS: We ain’t got much money in our pockets But we’ve got a lot to give And this life ain’t always easy But it’s the only way to live - And the people sing… Woah, Woah-oh-oh, Woah-oh-oh-oooh
